aquadreams Scuba is owned and operated by Dave McDougall and his partner Eva McIlwaine with the dive school based in Basildon, Essex just 10 minutes from the M25 (Lakeside exit) and 3 minutes from the A127 (London to Southend arterial road ~ Chelmsford exit).

Our location makes aquadreams scuba a good choice for student divers in the Essex, Kent, London and Suffolk areas. Dave McDougall is a highly experienced PADI instructor with many years diving experience in the UK, Europe, Far East and South East Asia. Dave holds a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating with 21 specialty instructor ratings and he is also a certified Emergency First Response instructor.

For almost ten years aquadreams scuba has introduced countless new divers to the wonders of the aquatic world and we are pleased to say that the majority of these divers still train and dive with us today... a testament to quality and value for money diving that we strive to deliver to all of our customers and diving friends. As a responsible dive education provider, we work strictly to HSE guidelines for diving. All of our instructors are PADI certified, in current teaching status, hold personal liability insurance and have a current HSE fit to dive medical certificate.

We offer what many larger dive centres and operations sometimes cannot... a more personal and "one to one" teaching experience. We keep our training class sizes down throughout the training process...this means that you get the complete focus and attention of our instructors at all times.

We have a full size, heated training pool for confined water training which we use fifty weeks of the year every Wednesday evening between 20.00hrs and 21.30hrs and we have a fully fitted and comfortable classroom for dive theory training. For open water training we have the option of four UK inland dive training sites as well as the option of training our students abroad in more warmer climates.
